Dancers' Group and Rhythm & Motion present One Dance 2017, part of the kick-off event for Bay Area Dance Week.
This year's One Dance celebration will be held indoors under the grandeur of the Rotunda at San Francisco City Hall. Rain or shine, we will dance! This year's international spin on some favorite pop songs will celebrate the diversity of dance and showcase several different movement forms. Everyone welcome! No experience required.

Check out this great article in the SF Chronicle about "seeking solace in times of high anxiety" that highlights Rhythm & Motion instructor Amara Tabor-Smith. "Sometimes Tabor-Smith begins class by telling her students to shudder the stress out of their bodies. Sometimes she encourages them to set a positive intention for the energy they'll generate. Most often, these days, she asks the room to breathe together." (Photo by Paul Chinn/The Chronicle)

SF PRIDE PARADE - SUNDAY, JUNE 26, 2016
Here's your chance to dance your heart out for an enthusiastic crowd, through the center of the city and alongside your friends, teachers and classmates! The parade theme this year is "For Racial and Economic Justice," and we'll be performing three fun, energetic routines celebrating diversity, community, and the joy of dance. Learn the routines in select Rhythm & Motion classes throughout the month of June and at our two pre-parade rehearsals. It's going to be a blast!
Check out the video above from last year's parade, when we won the TOP prize of Absolutely Fabulous Overall Contingent. See how much fun everyone is having? Be a part of that amazingness this year!! Everyone is welcome.
To keep our group moving smoothly we also need the help of many volunteers. Please invite friends and family to come out and support our group. They'll have a great time too!

Due to weather, One Dance 2016 has been cancelled. For safety reasons, we are unable to dance in Union Square at noon today. Team members from Dancers’ Group, Rhythm & Motion, and Union Square Live will be on hand to greet and communicate with the public. If you have any questions, give us a call at 415.920.9181.
Our silver lining: post a video of you and your friends performing the #onedance2016 choreography by the end of Bay Area Dance Week. Creators and dancers of a video will be chosen at random to win festival t-shirts!
Classes, performances and workshops start today, Friday, April 22 through Sunday, May 1. Grab your umbrella and get out to one of the other fabulous events offered. We hope to see you dancing soon!

Everyone welcome! No dance experience required.

At the Kick-Off event we will also be acknowledging the 2016 Dancers Choice Awardees and Della Davidson Prize recipient, and finishing the afternoon with a dance party.
