Line dance is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows all facing each other or in the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time. It is fun and is a great way to improve health and wellness.
Patricia Lowe-Copeland, aka Chocolate Platinum, is an Award-winning Line Dance choreographer *, Certified ASFA (American Sport and Fitness Association Hip Hop/Dance Instructor, and 2nd Leveled *Certified (ICLDI) Line Dance Instructor for ICLDI (International Consortium of Line Dance Instructors), and performer. She was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She has taught and continues to teach individual and group Line Dance Classes/Sessions, in private and public settings. She showcases Line Dances in workshops throughout the Bay Area, across the states, and out of the country. She choreographs line dances/ “Soul Line” dances and teaches public and private classes, teaching a variety of Line Dances, such as: *Zydeco,* Southern Soul, *R&B, *Jazz, *Gospel, *Samba Soul, *Kountry Hic Hop, *Country, *Afro Urban Soul, *Latin Soul, *Hip Hop, and Contemporary dances (Foreign and domestic).
She choreographs line dances for many different recording artists, and she and her Dancers (“Hotz” Chocolate, **Team Platinum, and Bay Area Team Platinum) have performed at more than 200 different events, since 2012 - (concerts, plays, festivals, weddings, school events, Health & Wellness events, Retirements, reunions, fundraisers, music videos, etc.). She and the Chocolate Platinum Soul Line Dancers were inducted into the “U S Congress Library in 2016”. Patricia had her own TV show in 2019 ( “The Chocolate Platinum Line Dance Show)”, co-hosted Monday Night Jam TV Show on Zoom for many years and was featured in a documentary shown in the Black Film Festival in October 2019.
She is available for public and private individual and/or group classes, and sessions. She can choreograph dances for any event. She currently teaches classes in Oakland and San Francisco, as well as Virtual classes on Zoom.
