Dancehall is a fun, energetic style of dance from the parties of the beautiful island of Jamaica. Aimee will show you the latest dance moves that everyone who wants to, can do. Aimee is a great teacher who will not only show you the dance but will share with you the creators of the art, its history, and introduce / delve deeper with you into this beautiful evolving lineage of dance.

Aimee Rose is a native San Franciscan who has a deep passion for art, culture and dance. Her focus on Dancehall began in 2013 and since then Aimee and/or her and her crew, Frisco Rockaz (previously known as the QuintEssentials), has opened shows for well known Dancehall and Reggae artists and beyond including but not limited to Too $hort, Black Eyed Peas, Kes, Cham, Los Rakas, Kassa Overall, Christopher Martin, MJ’s Brass Boppers and Alborosie. Aimee has also choreographed or attributed choreography for numerous music videos and stage shows for Macka Diamond, Remy R.E.D, Bayonics, Los Rakas, Seneca, and more. Since 2016 Aimee has hosted workshops with top Jamaican and international Dancehall Dancers. Aimee, herself, has also traveled extensively teaching workshops as well as bi-annually brings her students to Jamaica for dance and culture tours, Bay2JA: Dancehall Dance Intensive and Adventure. Lastly and most importantly, Aimee teaches multiple weekly classes in the San Francisco Bay Area where she can share her love for Jamaican dance with you as often as possible.
